Google survey

End of the class we usually do lecture evaluation. The school I teach also has a lecture evaluation however I can't see the result. I always wonder the result and want to know what I have to improve or fix it for the next class. So. I made lecture evaluation form. Next semester I will try to use Band for the class. Then I just put this survey to the Band and students can easily do that.

Editing by Audacity

This semester, I taught TOEIC listening part. We had 3 tests. before this class, I have no idea about editing audio file. So, I took 2 written test because there's some problem for editing. However, final test was listening test. I am not good at using audacity well. But I tried to make it. This file is made by me. It's not a perfect. I just did cut and paste by clicking. I may do better next time if I had a chance to do it.

Social Networking

Before I watched the social networking screencast. I don't really use social networking service, of course I have facebook ID and check some news for my friends. But I don't upload my story. SNS sometimes made me annoying. there are too many ads. For me it is becoming e-mail. I use e-mail very often however it is hard to find real e-mail from my friends. Anyway, I learned that there are lot of resources if I search it. Learning call is best site I ever met. I can find many useful things. I haven't looked all resources yet. One more thing I found is that Korean learning site. I joined this group, Korean Practice for English Speakers, and I found some interesting site there. Talk To Me in Korean is the name of site. From now on, I will be able to use Social Networking Service quite often. I usually find some resources from the searching tool like naver, daum. But SNS might be more useful than those.

Reading Reflection # Computer Use in the ESL Classroom

This article is about using computer in the classroom effectively. I agree that using computer in the class makes the lesson more active and variety. Students also like to use computer. I agree that teacher should prepare the computer (turn on, find some pages before the class). Most students are not patient and they want to do something right away. My concern is that most computers are connected an Internet. Most students use computer their home. So they already know how to use it especially games. There is a chance that they could do other things during the class. I teach elementary students and I sometimes use computer to play some games, readings, and grammar study. I teach student privately but sometimes I found they are doing other things when I was not looking at them. When I use computer, I use it end of the class rather than the beginning. Using computer looks more fun to them so they want to spend more time on that. Teacher should know and solve the technical problem. There can be some problem even though teacher has checked everything before the class. So, it is better to know about technical part as well. Using computer in the classroom makes teacher work more harder but students could learn English more fun. Try it!
